Restoran Asli

This is where we had our seafood, it's a restaurant called Restoran Asli, located slightly off Taman Perling. It was originally managed by the orang asli, which is like the indigenous people who stay in the area. But recently it's being managed by Chinese people.

It is a floating restaurant, so when you look down through the wooden planks, you'll actually see the sea. When you wash your hands, the water will go directly down to the sea. Makes you wonder what happens to the soap that you use to wash your hands, considering that there are fish farms nearby...

And here's the food that we ate. Cereal prawns, some sort of vegetable, chilli crabs, some shellfish thingie, fried sotong, and later, man tou (I'm never good at food names). Very nice.
PS: I think I found the place on Google Maps. Check it out (unconfirmed).

I remember few years when I went there, it was managed by Orang Asli.
Food was great there, but just not so clean. I meant, the environment wasn't very clean.
There were kids swimming in the sea too and we could throw a coin in and they'll pick them. Just like a reward for their performance!

Felix Ker: Yeah, agrees that the food is great though the environment isn't very clean. I didn't see any kids swimming when we were there. But it makes me wonder: how do the kids store the coins after picking them up? I mean since they have to swim around as well... :P
