The Pervert Who Take Girls Pho

070715175820-DSC00469
The guy who was taking photos of the girl sitting opposite on the train. Was sitting next to him when he was taking the photo. I promptly stood and positioned myself in front of him. I think he managed to take a few photos. Should have asked him to delete it or tell the girl, but I've no courage to do it, dammit. Still shivering now at the thought of it, and the fact that I just took his photo.

  • Jayson: Actually hor, he looks more like you. :P

  • Any photo of the girl & he can be charged.
I'm impressed you helped the girl (by blocking him). Most guys just heck care.

Then again, I really have no guts also lah.. I wish I'm born with more guts!

  • Jayson Ang: Unless I somehow have developed a third, invisible hand, I don't think it was possible that it was me in the photo. :-P

    DK: Exactly! :-P

uglyfatchick (Chicky): Ah OK, I didn't know that. What I'm worried is that what if he didn't actually take the photo, just attempted to take, can he get charged as well? Or will it be turned against me?

And to be honest, I didn't know what I was doing. It helped that I was practically brain-dead the whole afternoon, which was why when my instincts told me to block the guy, I didn't stop myself (normally I'd have no guts too).

  • hey I know how it feels, it's like you want to stand up and do something righteous, but you just can't gather your strength to do it...

but at least you blocked him from taking more photos. Kudos to you!

  • Nice Job Hendri, too bad we cannot see that person face so clearly.

  • Hendri: What if he is gay and end up taking photos of you? hahahaha. :P

UFC: U need guts to stand infront of that guy to block him? I think no point. You stand there to block, he will end up taking pictures of you. hee hee

  • it's not exactly illegal to take a pic of a stranger in public as long as it isn't questionable like downblouse or upskirt shots. however, should the victim notice and request the photos removed, he has too otherwise it's illegal. if it was illegal on the onset, photojournalist would have a very hard time haha.

anyway, what you did, i give you 2 thumbs up man. it took guts just to stand in front of him IMHO. cheers!

  • chillycraps: Yeah... That's the least I could do I guess. :)

arzhou (Adrian): Haha thanks... Wanna sponsor a new camera phone for me? :-P

DK: Even if he took my photo, what can he do with it? Post it online and say "this is the guy who caught me red-handed when I was taking girls photos"? Haha...

Merv Kwok: I suppose this is quite a grey area. There are cases when photos of strangers (especially girls) end up in sleazy websites, even though they are not downblouse/upskirt shots. Illegal? Maybe not. Unethical? I think so.

As for the guy in question, he clearly didn't take the photo for the purpose of photojournalism. Otherwise, why would he sneakily take a photo of the girl only, who didn't even do anything weird other than talking on the phone? :)
