Yesterday morning I was at

Yesterday morning I was at Juanda Airport, Surabaya, taking a look at the architecture of the airport. I took a Boeing 737 and more than an hour later I was back at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

In the afternoon, I braced myself for the heavy storm and flew to Singapore Changi Airport, and landed safely.

Today, I decided to make a change in plans, and went to London. I took a Boeing 747 from Heathrow Airport to Orly in Paris. Apparently this was my not-so-lucky flight. That was the first time another plane, a de Havilland Dash 8 went past my plane, less than 1000 feet above. Apparently the de Havilland flew lower than its assigned altitude. Luckily nothing bad happened, and I continued my way to Orly airport.

Then another incident struck. Apparently a plane landing in front of mine couldn’t clear the runway in time, so the plane I was on was instructed to “go-around”, meaning that the plane had to fly away from the airport and retry the landing. The second try was better as the plane managed to land safely.

The next leg of my trip brought me to Malpensa Airport at Milan. It brought me through the breath-taking Alps Mountains! It was so beautiful, looking through the window at the snow-covered peaks. The descent was a little scary as the plane was so close to the ground that I worried that the plane will hit the mountain side. It didn’t happen though, otherwise I won’t be able to type this.

The next leg will bring me on a short, 30-minute trip to Venice. It will not happen until at least tomorrow, though, as I was too tired. I said ‘at least tomorrow’, because who knows what I will do tomorrow. I might be flying somewhere else, or I might enjoy killing some people and stealing cars in Grand Theft Auto. Heck, I might even continue sewing my teddy bear.

Ah… The wonders of Microsoft Flight Simulator. :)
