Wireless on Ubuntu
Yay! So happy! Finally managed to setup wireless network connection on Ubuntu!
Check out WiFiHowto to find out how. If your wireless card is not natively supported by Ubuntu (like my SMC 2635W) you may be able to use the card’s Windows driver by utilising Ndiswrapper, which sort of ‘wraps’ the Windows driver such that it is usable within Ubuntu. Check out SetupNdiswrapperHowto to do this.
Time to go back to projects yet again.

Just wondering… could you fool Ubuntu to use Windows’ Canon printer driver using this magical wrapper thing? It might solve your print problem. :p

nxva: Hmmm… That would be interesting. I haven’t tried that yet, but it seems that I won’t be able to anyway now that my then-roommate has left the flat, along with his Canon i255.
No, I didn’t kick him out; he managed to get a room in the hostel.
