Noone Is My Friend…

… in TetriNET. That is what I’ve been wasting hours of my life in for the past few days.

TetriNET

Get the classic old Tetris, add multiplayer feature, and sprinkle special blocks that do various things ranging from scattering your opponents’ block to clearing your playing field, and you get a pack of fun and excitement. For maximum enjoyment, get a few of your friends together, put everyone in a room, start cursing and swearing as your opponent switches his playing field with yours, and retaliate by randomly removing some blocks in his playing field!

To play, you’ll need a TetriNET client. Unfortunately, the original TetriNET seems to have been discontinued. But not to worry, you can grab either aTwin (for Windows), GTetrinet (for Linux), or Tetrinet Aqua (for Mac).

If you intend to host your own games, you’ll need the server as well. I find that Jetrix is quite good.

Sometimes I do host TetriNET games, which I will advertise on my MSN. Feel free to message me if you’d like to join in.
