Brr… It sure is cold

Brr… It sure is cold here in the morning. But of course, this is not as cold as my hometown. I’m currently staying over at my mum’s place. She’s staying together with my sis at the city where her school is. the neighbourhood here seems to be quite fine, it’s quite quiet (pun unintended) and the neighbours surely are very willing to help. Anyway, back to my hometown, sometimes the temperatures can reach up to (or rather down to) 18 degrees celsius in the morning. almost like the temperature inside an air-conditioned LT in acjc during rainy days. after so many years of staying in a more tropical climate (as opposed to mountaineous climate), i grew used to the heat and regard this as super cold. which kinda reminds me of those days when i had to wake up at 5 am just to reach school on time. an analogy to this would be those staying at pasir ris or jb who are studying at acjc. and just like them, i travel back and fro to school everyday.

speaking about mountaineous climate, i’m probably the most kampong guy in the whole class. well, i’m not too sure about the singaporeans, but at least i think i know the cities of the foreigners in the class. whereas i can bet that you wouldn’t even have heard of my hometown, unless i have already told you earlier. well, what do you expect, from a small town where there’s no shopping malls and where some of the residents work as farmers, complete with their bulls and rice fields. it’s a nice small town though, except for the bad traffic control at the main road, causing traffic jams most of the time. and of course, the residents can only dream of adsl or cable connections until at least another 10 years.

it’s not a palace, i know.
it’s not the best place to live on earth, i know.
it’s not a rich region, i know.
it’s not so big, i know.
it’s not so accessible, i know.
it’s not near any big cities, i know.
it’s not where you can find everything you want, i know.

but it’s home, this i know.
