Boys And Girls… I’m Gonna Tell You A Story…

Dear Diary,

I really should have been sleeping. Just look at the time now. It’s 3.10 AM when I started typing this post. Considering that I take an average of half-an-hour to type an entry (figure is only approximate) I’m going to finish at about 3.40 AM. But looking to my right, I see my roommate still playing Warcraft III. That’s a sign that I won’t sleep so soon, so here I am, blogging, updating you with the mundanity of Hendri Budi’s life. Or the lack of it.

(Please forgive me for any peculiarity you may find over the course of this entry. Things that are unlikely to be said by me. It’s barely three-and-a-half hours to dawn after all.)

Oh yeah… I’ll start by updating you on the prize that I was supposed to be getting. Refer to my previous post if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Well, I didn’t win anything. =P Not surprising though, since I was almost sure as hell it was a scam. A friend told me that another friend of us was also called–she declined to accept the prize, of course.

Some of you might be wondering, what the fish am I doing this late? Well, for those not in the know, NTU is having her recess week. Recess week, by the way, might be interpreted as a one-week mid-semester break.

Fun, eh? A one-week break merely 2 months into the school year?

Not really.

Next few weeks will be quite busy for me. Next week I’d be having a Chemistry Quiz, the first ever in my university life. I had my Physics Quiz last week, which went quite alright, by the way. But knowing how badly I know my stuff in Chemistry, I can only hope that I can get enough time to read my notes over the next few days. The following week I’d be having the Economics Quiz, which I dread even more. So far I’ve only finished reading up to Chapter 3 while the lecture has gone up to Chapter 13. Also on the same week is Fundamental of Communication Studies Quiz, which shouldn’t be too hard. I hope.

Yeah, I know, I really should be studying. But then this good friend of mine just lent me Need For Speed Underground, so right now I’m quite hooked to it… =/ The cool thing is that it runs quite smoothly in my laptop with medium setting, which is good enough for me! I thought the game would need a killer hardware to run with such an impressive graphics!

Speaking of which I’m tempted to get this personal computer loan offered by NTU. It gives you an interest-free loan of up to SGD 2500 on select computer models. This loan is to be repaid at the latest three years after graduation. If I take up this loan, I can top up with another around SGD 500 to get a good graphics card and probably an extra RAM to get quite a good gaming machine. =P Of course then I’d need to deduct an amount from my monthly pay of my job after graduation.

Some of you girls who read this may ask: what’s with guys and games? Well, what’s with girls and shopping? =)

Speaking of which, I stumbled upon this site while reading a review at GameSpot Asia. She’s really interesting. Ok, so she’s a lady who plays games, writes blogs, and describes herself as clumsy. Sounds like a normal blog written by a geeky lady?

Not really, because apparently she’s also an actress at a local media company (not too sure whether it’s MediaCorp or MediaWorks. She participated in Channel U’s The Next Big Thing, which is a Chinese-language singing contest. (I hope I’m right)

In fact, being a non-Chinese reader myself, it was only through her site that I got to know about the contest. I found that her writings are very hilarious and funny that I was compelled to vote for her. =P

By the way, I have a question to all of you. Yes that’s right. ALL of you.

If you’re a guy, do you think you can always aim well in the toilet? Do you think you can do it without splashing all over the floor?

If you’re a girl, have you ever wondered how guys do it in the toilet? Do you think it’s that easy?

Head down to J2O to find out! (I promise that there will be no pornographic contents. Neither will ghost images and sounds pop out after you’ve stared at the page for more than 10 seconds.)

Oh yeah, is anyone interested in supporting the Visual Arts Society by buying delicious mooncakes? (If you don’t know what the Visual Arts Society is, read the earlier sentence as “… in supporting me by…”)

Please check out this page to take a look at the promotion we’re having. A 2 piece/box set is sold at SGD 18, and 4 piece/box set is sold at SGD 24. For the 4 piece/box set, you’ll also get a free SGD 5 BreadTalk voucher. The list of available mooncakes are available here. If you’re from NTU, simply fill up the online form. If you’re not from NTU, please contact me by phone or SMS as soon as possible. Thank you!

(The Green Tea mooncake looks interesting…)

Hmm ok, I think I should stop here before I go on and on… And looky at the time here… It’s 4.16 AM! I clearly overshot my estimated time of finishing this entry at 3.40 AM! Damn!

On And On And On And On,

bcc
