Argh!
Dear Diary,
Here’s a quote from the announcement board in edveNTUre (NTU’s electronic learning centre):
Please note that, we are going to conduct one quiz test during the Tutorial-09 instead of two tests which were scheduled on the 7th and 11th tutorial sessions.
The test will have 20 MCQ to be completed within 40 minutes. This course work component will constitute 30% of the total exam marks.
Another 10% of the exam mark will be based on class participation.
If you need any clarification you may consult your tutors during the tutorials.
Thank you.
Let’s analyse this… The quiz is tomorrow. I’m still reading lecture 5 notes, barely understanding what is going on. The quiz is up to lecture 9.
So there goes 30% of my total exam marks.
My class participation consists of copying whatever was on the board during tutorial, not preparing beforehand.
So there goes 10% of my total exam marks.
So what do I have left? 100% - 30% - 10% = 60%.
Which means that even though suddenly a miracle happens and a voice from heavens bellows the answers during exams and I score 100% for the exams, my total exam score will still be quite low.
Time to start panicking?
Argh,
