Sand Toe Siah…
Wednesday, November 24th, 2004Dear Diary,
I went to Sentosa again with my Indonesian friends today. Well, actually at first I didn’t know some them very well and they didn’t know me well either. But after visiting the Underwater World, playing frisbee and volleyball, dunking each other into the sea, splashing water towards each other, and watching the Musical Fountain, we finally knew each other slightly better than when the day started.
(Until now I still find it difficult to remember the names of the guys. I’m not without my own excuse. There were only two girls, of which I already knew one, and nine guys, of which I only knew three)
The trip would have been so much more fun had it not been a rainy day. Oh, pardon me. Like everyone says, it did not rain. It poured.
(Which, by the way, makes me wonder: Is it called a poury day then?)
So our first stop was the Underwater World, which I’ve gone to twice already. Some wanted to go to the Dolphin Lagoon since its last show was going soon. Luckily we noticed in the guidebook that the show may be cancelled in the event of rain. There was nothing new in Underwater World since my last visit, to my dismay. Oh, we took quite a lot of photos, which I can’t post yet since they were taken with my film SLR. I’ll get them scanned and I’ll post them. (Probably in a private place for the viewing of only those concerned)
Oh, I got this very cute blue whale soft toy for Sis:

A quick bite of hot dog, burgers and pop corn, and off the two young ladies and ten fine gentlemen went to the next stop, Palawan Beach, where we spent the next around one-to-two hours (can’t remember the exact duration. I only remembered it was dark when we left) playing frisbee and volleyball, dunking each other, and splashing water towards each other. We were completely drenched by the time we left the place. Nevertheless, it was really fun, especially when we dunked those we didn’t manage to dunk during their birthday *coughherrycough*.
Our last stop of the day was the Musical Fountain. Of course, we only went here after properly showering and redressing ourselves.
Musical Fountain is bloody cool!. Okay, I’m ashamed to say this only after four years of being here… but today was really the first time I went to the Musical Fountain for the show, and it was really awesome! I liked the coordination between the fountains and the lasers and the fireballs and even the Merlion! If you happen to visit Sentosa, this is a show you won’t want to miss!
The trip ended with us taking more photos, going the wrong direction when walking towards the departure point, and finally, swimming across the strait going to HarbourFront on the Sentosa shuttle bus.
And thus, ended the trip of the day. The trip that I won’t forget in the near future…
(Geez… This is an abrupt ending of the story. I can’t think of a better way to end the story. I need to sleep soon, so I shall leave it abrupt.)
Oh yeah, if you happen to need to contact me when I’m in Indonesia, you can always email me. Otherwise, if you know my Indonesian mobile number (which you can obtain by either leaving a comment or dropping an email asking such) you can also message me. See you all in a month’s time!
Sandy,
