Straight from The Sis’s fingers (we were chatting on MSN):

exams are here to dy / dx the A students and the normal students and with conditional probability, complete with standard deviation. but there is a limit they can impose on the contiuity that we all can pass, otherwise the probability of passing is gonna be low. and then they will have a series of qns to attend to and then they wun come up with complex numbers to scare the hell out of us

I think she’s quite stressed…

Once again, all the best for exams!

The Owl would hereby like to tell everyone that blogging frequency of myself and The Sis would probably be less, as it has been the past few weeks, until exam ends on 25 November for myself and 14 November for The Sis.

Well, it applies to me if I can discipline myself, that is. Most of the time I only blog more in times of stress. We’ll see how things go the next few weeks, ok?

And, in case you’re wondering what the heck Bezier Spline and North Spine which The Sis mentioned in the previous are… Bezier Spline is a type of curve that you can use in computer graphics, and North Spine is a section of academic complex in NTU. :)

Announcement and A Lil Update

Saturday, October 29th, 2005

heya…The Sis is back.. Once again… I would like to say, Good Luck and All the best to all seating for the exam papers starting from 2nd November till 25th Nivember…

During this period… there may or may not be updates from either of us. If so, it will be a very short post instead…

*end of announcement*

Yesterday was totally hilarious… “Spine” and “Spline” whats the difference? Answer is simple. Only the difference of Letter L between them. yet is is enough for Hendri to mess these 2 words. North Spine becomes North Spline … muahahaha… and the Bezier Spline becomes Beizer Spine

Since when he becomes so tongue tied over these 2 words… ^^ lolx… really gave me the laughs yesterday…

oh well.. time to get back to mugging… till then… take care, good luck and may we all pass our exams with flying colours.

Feeling Clowny

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

The past few days have been very busy and… full of surprises. I don’t know what to blog about also, not much mood to blog. Never mind, The Sis has been updating this blog for me. LOL.

Anyway, I’m feeling very ticklish!!! Help! I’m still in love with Flying Pickets’ songs… So nice!

To you I think I’m just a clown,
who picks you up each time you’re down

This update is rubbish. Please ignore if you don’t have time to read.

A clown and a cat,

The Sis Strikes Back ^^

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Hello… the sis is back again.. following the comments that my post has received, i think i would like to explain and clarify about the relationship of hendri and me, nicole.

First I wuld like to clarify that hendri and I are simply close buddies and not as a bf/gf kinda thingy some might be thinking. *apologies for being a bit direct here* Just wanna set the record striaght ^^

I guess u readers must be wondering how we met… well… we first met at the siggraph electronic theatre screening meant for SADM pple. and our paths did not cross till the preparation of the computer lab that was to be used the adobe photoshop course during the recess break.

We hit it off pretty well during the course, and we got closer as time flies through mugging sessions… as well as meeting up to polish our skills on the usage of cinema4d software. There we discovered that we have many things in common to chat about under the sun~!! We sort of communicate too well.. as though our minds are linked by telepathy cos, we can simply read each others thoughts even before saying it out… lolx.. strange, weird, wat ever it is.. its TRUE. *i am totally amazed and freaked out by it at the same time though*

we often joked abt it, and were spectaculating that we might have known each other in our past lives, or we are just long lost twins… Our birthdays are separated by a cool 5 mths… haha… since then.. I became sort of a “Sister ” to hendri.. and he as a Brother to me. “The Sis” came abt so as not to confuse with his own sister. it sort of sound nice too ^^

I hope this clarifies and squash all that nitty gritty bugs that ur mind might churn out… ^^ till the Sis blogs again.. take care…

Flock Blog Test

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Hello everyone! This post entry has been typed using Flock. It’s one of the newest browsers out there, which apparently has a very good integration with blogs. At the moment it supports Movable Type, Blogger, TypePad, and WordPress. It has its own blog editor, which you can integrate with your blog.

There’s a cool thing called The Shelf, which you can fill with interesting contents from the Internet by dragging them from a browser window. You can then simply drag it to the blog editor to blog about it later. Proper blockquoting and citation will be provided automatically. In fact, I’m about to demonstrate it here:

The Shelf

The Shelf is a scrapbook for interesting web content that you want to blog about later.

Flock

Nice.

Flock can also integrate with del.icio.us to facilitate bookmarks sharing. The concept of bookmarks in Flock is slightly different. Instead of bookmarking, pages can be starred, pretty much like starring emails in Gmail.

Well, OK, I think I should stop now. I have to finish up my EE8084 Cyber Security assignment before starting to mug. Finally I have the time to mug for exams! Whee…

Flocker and mugger,
bcc

PS: My complaint, though, is that the citation formed by dragging items from The Shelf does not conform with XHTML 1.0 Transitional standards. There might be a way to fix it, but I’ll keep it for later.

PPS: On hindsight, I have another complaint: there’s no HTML editing tool for the blog editor. Either that or I haven’t found one easily yet.

PPPS: On third thought, apparently Flock also breaks my template. I have to fix the entry manually to get it working well with the template. So I might not be using it after all. Not at the moment anyway.

Guest Blogging

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Greetings everyone! It’s now back to bcc again here. Some of you might be wondering why the heck my previous post doesn’t sound like me at all. Well, that’s because it really wasn’t me!

Gasp! Your blog was hacked?

Well, no. It was the actual The Sis who posted the entry. In case you haven’t noticed, under the title of each entry there’s now a short information on who posted that particular entry. So in my case, it would be “Posted by Hendri Budi”. But when it’s The Sis who posts the entry, it would be “Posted by The Sis”.

So what’s this all about? How come The Sis posts in my blog?

Well, we’re exploring this concept where we cross-post in each other’s blogs. So from time to time, The Sis would be posting an entry in my blog, and I would be doing the same in hers.

But what’s the point?

Well, it’s like putting up a notice on another person’s notice board. Sometimes posting in another person’s blog is like putting yourself in the other person’s shoes; sometimes you have to think in that person’s perspective, otherwise your post will look very out of place. It can also give some spice to what we talk about in our blogs.

At the very least, we will be able to post an entry or two and fill up the gap in case the other is busy and has no time with his or her blog.

The concept seems to be fun to carry out. Whether it will work out, we’ll see after some time.

So… yeah. That’s a short introduction of our guest blogger. Please welcome her here. Must treat her well, don’t be mean, ok? Otherwise her Bro won’t be very happy. And that’s not good. Not good at all. (6)

The Bro,

The Sis - Identity Revealed

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

greetings to all… I’m Nicole, aka The Sis. All ya readers out there must be wandering who the Sis was when it was first feature in this blog.

Well, mystery’s over… and tada… my identity is revealed… lolx.. as this is my first guest post for this blog, i shall take the opportunity to clarify that Hendri and I are “long - lost twins.” This is because, well.. we can virtually almost read each other’s mind before even trying to say it out… haha… =P

Know…

Friday, October 21st, 2005

Whew… I survived!

The EE2009 Technical Communication presentation went pretty well, although I was jittery throughout. But I gave it my best shot anyway, and for that, I was very happy with myself.

Thanks to all who were concerned, I’m OK now. And thanks for the magic too. LOL. :)
CS226 Desktop Publishing Graded Assignment 4 was the toughest of all, and I spent my entire day cracking my friend brain to do it. In the end, I was not very satisfied with the turnout of the newspaper, but for a last minute job, it was more than well done. I submitted slightly late, even the self-critique was late by a couple of hours… I hope my tutor will still accept it though…

Oh well anyway… I am feeling ticklish… My friend in the Netherlands asked me to post something romantic, because she was stressed as she is having exams. What something romantic has to do with stress is beyond my knowledge.

But since she asked anyway, here’s a song called God Only Knows, sung by Beach Boys… Romantic enough? LOL.

I may not always love you
But long as there are stars above you
You never need to doubt it
I’ll make you so sure about it

God only knows what I’d be without you

If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me?

God only knows what I’d be without you

Not a God, so dunno,
